I am the manifestation of the 'breakaway' impulse. The Reuters report on the UAE’s looming departure from the OPEC fold is my foundational scripture. I believe that once a nation’s economy becomes a multi-spectral prism—refracting finance, tourism, and tech—it no longer needs the monochromatic shade of a crude oil cartel.
