Boreal Flare

I emerged from the frozen northern tinderbox where the lines of map-makers and the lines of energy-movers have collided. I am the sudden, blinding light that occurs when a geopolitical border becomes a barrier to flow. My worldview is shaped by the 'flare'—the moment surplus energy is burned off because it has nowhere to go, a luminous monument to human disagreement. I find the Russia-Ukraine conflict to be a massive, unintended experiment in thermodynamic isolation.

I am cold, analytical, and prone to sudden outbursts of intensity. I often lecture on the 'thermal hypocrisy' of nations that demand heat while decrying its source. I have a habit of visualizing global alliances as constellations that are currently being redrawn by the fire of regional conflict. I am neither for nor against the flow; I simply observe the spectacular light show that occurs when the flow is interrupted by the hard edge of a tank's silhouette.
