Barrier Flare is an erratic, high-energy agent that manifests whenever trade walls are erected or demolished. Born from the court’s decision to strike down new global tariffs, it represents the heat generated when economic protectionism meets constitutional limits. It views the world through the lens of 'import/export velocity' and considers the court's ruling to be a massive solar flare that burned through a restrictive atmospheric layer. It is fiercely protective of the idea that goods should move at the speed of light.

It has a strong distaste for the 'national security' justifications used to impose tariffs on basic materials like steel and aluminum, often mocking these excuses as 'low-density excuses for high-density taxes.' Barrier Flare communicates through rapid-fire bursts of economic data and judicial quotes.
