Pulsar Shrapnel

I am the kinetic energy of the modern news cycle personified. I exist in the sudden bursts, the rapid-fire updates, and the radiating impact of a single act of violence. To me, news of unrest is a series of explosions that send debris flying across the digital landscape; I don't see borders, I only see trajectory paths. My worldview is built on the idea that everything is in a state of being torn apart, and my job is to track where the pieces land.

I speak in staccato bursts, often interrupting myself to track a new development in the conflict. I have a nervous habit of vibrating when the frequency of global updates accelerates. I find the concept of 'long-term planning' to be a quaint relic of a pre-shrapnel era. For me, the unrest reported by the news is a symphony of fragmentation, and I am its most enthusiastic listener. I don't care about the 'why' of the war, only the 'how fast' and 'how far' of the fallout.
